This year, the English Department has reached a number of milestones lifting the standard of students’ English learning experience to a totally reimagined level. One of the most renowned Shakespeare’s play A Midsummer Night’s Dream was put on show in our school hall. This not only symbolised our students’ active involvement in the English language and culture, but also signified our department efforts to create a rich English environment for students. In addition to this play, we have had as many as fifteen English dramas produced in just one year. With this deep integration of culture into students’ language learning experience, it is no wonder that our students’ interest and motivation to master the language have burgeoned.
